Fees & Payment

I aim to keep my fees clear and transparent so you can make an informed decision about working together. I offer therapy and clinical supervision, working primarily online across the UK. My fees reflect the care, training and professional support that sit behind each session.

Therapy Fees

Introductory telephone consultation (20 minutes): Free

This is a chance for us to talk before you decide whether or not you would like to work with me. You can ask questions, and I will also ask some questions to help determine what might be helpful for you.

There is no commitment to start therapy with me; you can use this call to have a chat about what you are looking for. The most important thing is that you find a practitioner with whom you feel comfortable, and I will be happy to help you find the right person.

If you would like to find out more about working with me, please get in touch via my contact form to book a short phone call.

Therapy Session (50 minutes): £120

In our first session I will start building a picture of your current situation and history. We will talk about what you are looking for, what changes you would like to make to support your mental, emotional and physical health, and how we can work towards that.

I work primarily online. We will usually meet weekly or fortnightly, and will agree a regular day and time to meet. Once agreed I will hold this slot for you.

Towards the end of each session we will wind down and confirm our next appointment.

When you decide to pause or end therapy, I recommend that we arrange at least one final session to review and close our work.

Extended Session (90 minutes): £220

Extended 90-minute sessions can be helpful for clients who are returning to me after a break, or those who want to have a longer session exploring a specific topic.

Therapy Intensive (half-day or full-day package): £480 or £950

Your 3- or 6-hour package will include preparation and reflection exercises, plus a 30-minute follow-up call. I’ll tailor the day based on your goals for the intensive, and the issues you would like to work with.

The 6-hour package will run from 10am-1pm and 2-5pm, allowing an hour’s break for lunch.

Insurance

I am registered with Aviva, AXA, Cigna and WPA. If you plan to use insurance, please provide your insurer details, authorisation code and the number of approved sessions before we begin.
Most insurers fund 50-minute sessions unless your treatment plan specifies otherwise.

Clinical Supervision Fees

£120 for a 90-minute supervision session

£90 for a 60-minute supervision session

Fees for group supervision and ad hoc consultation vary depending on session length and group size. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss options.

I offer clinical supervision to therapists and counsellors, as well as others working in healing, holding and supportive roles across the UK. You can read more about my supervision approach here.

A Note About Fees

I am committed to making therapy as accessible as I can, whilst also recognising that it represents a meaningful investment. Some clients choose to work fortnightly, and I hold a small number of lower-fee spaces. Clients paying the full fee help make these supported places possible.

Your fee contributes not only to our time together but to the wider professional framework that keeps therapy safe, ethical and well held. This includes my own clinical supervision, ongoing training, professional memberships and insurance.

For each hour of therapy, I spend significant additional time in preparation, reflection, learning and administration. I remain committed to deepening my practice so that the work we do together is thoughtful, well-informed and sustainable over time.

Payment

I ask for payment 24 hours before each session. I will provide a link to make the payment online via Stripe’s secure system. Some clients prefer to pay for several sessions in advance; others prefer to pay session by session.

Cancelling and Rescheduling

If you are unable to attend a booked session, I ask for 48 hours’ notice. If you ask to cancel or reschedule within 48 hours of the planned session I will do my best to find an alternative day/time before the end of that working week. If this is not possible, the full session fee is payable.

If you do not come to the session and give no notice, the full session fee is payable.

In order to support the flow of therapy I ask you to maintain a regular weekly or fortnightly rhythm wherever possible, missing no more than two planned sessions per quarter.

I charge a cancellation fee in order to cover costs, including turning away other clients who could have used that slot. Even if you are not at the session I will hold you in mind, taking time to reflect on our work.

Giving

I donate a proportion of my income each year to charity. My chosen charities in recent years have been:

  • 2025: Breast Cancer Now is a UK charity working to support anyone affected by breast cancer, combining world-class research with practical and emotional support.
  • 2024: Weldmar Hospicecare is a Dorset charity providing specialist end of life care for adults with a life limiting illness, and support for their loved ones.
  • 2023: ASCape, a small but mighty Dorset-based charity working to support Autistic and socially anxious children and young people and their families.

Next steps

If you are interested in working with me, please get in touch via my contact form. You can ask questions and arrange a short phone call (free of charge) so we can get a sense of whether we would be a good fit to work together.

There is no commitment to have therapy with me: this is a chat about what might be helpful for you. If I’m not the right therapist for you I can share details of some of the excellent therapists in my network.

If you do decide to work with me we will book your first session. I will send you a couple of forms and the therapy agreement, along with details about how to meet.

I am not able to provide an urgent or emergency response. If you’re in crisis, please contact one of these organisations.
